  • “My friends hate me!” Andrews bemoaned, following her story

Erin Andrews has entered the chat about side chats.

During her second day as a guest host on Jenna & Friends, the Fox Sports lead sideline reporter shared her feelings about “side chatting” while texting — and accidentally outed one of her girlfriends!

“I don’t think a side chat has to be a negative situation,” Andrews, 47, told host Jenna Bush Hager about the practice of creating a secondary conversation with select friends from the group chat. “I think it’s like, ‘Okay, what do you think about this.’ ”

Andrews continued, “We were side chatting the other day, a couple girlfriends and I, about maybe names for babies. And my one girlfriend was like, ‘I like this,’ and my other girlfriend was like, ‘Do you really like that?’ “

Immediately, the broadcaster realized what she had just said.

“I just outed my friend’s chat,” Andrews said. “Shoot, I just outed my friend’s chat!”

The mother of one then tried to do damage control, specifically addressing her friend.

“No! Megan, Megan, we love that name,” Andrews said. “It was my friend Megan that said it. We love the name, Megan. It’s not Megan, it was another name.”

She added, laughing: “We weren’t talking bad! No, no, no, everybody’s great” — before bemoaning what she did. “My friends hate me!”

Andrews’ candid moment came one day after her debut on the show — and proved her own admission that she has a hard time holding back, especially when pursuing her sports beat.

“Bill Belichick is royalty, legend. He’s it, he is the Mount Rushmore,” Andrews said on Monday’s program, while discussing the former NFL coach’s relationship with Jordon Hudson. “I know how he is on the field. He’s very matter-of-fact, you get two seconds to talk to him.”

She added, “I am full-blown stomach cramps when I get ready to talk to him because I don’t want to mess up. And I kind of get excited and I start doing what I’m doing now and talking too much.”
