Nikola Jokic Facing Fan Backlash for Actions During Nuggets-Thunder Game 7

During the first half of Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals between the Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday, some NBA fans weren’t happy with Nuggets superstar center Nikola Jokic.

Jokic, who is an MVP finalist this year, was accused of flopping too much.

“Jokic PR too good, he’ll never get (expletive) for all this flopping,” one fan wrote.

“Jokic flopping with Alex Caruso on him,” popular X account BricksCenter wrote.

The Nuggets trailed the Thunder, 60-46, at halftime. Jokic had 17 points in the first half, showing his elite offensive skills.

However, fans are not pleased with his propensity to flop.

“I get Jokic is good, but call a flop a flop,” one fan said.

“Another flop by Jokic. Yet you won’t hear Denver fans cry about it,” another fan said.

If the Nuggets don’t come back in the second half against the Thunder, it will mark the second year in a row Jokic and Co. have lost in the second round of the playoffs.

Behind Jokic and Jamal Murray, the Nuggets won the 2023 championship against the Miami Heat. It appeared a dynasty was about to start in the Mile High City.

However, the Nuggets were down big to the Thunder at halftime, and even though everyone knows that Jokic is a great player, his flopping is turning some fans off.

“No one stops momentum with a flop quite like Jokic,” one fan said.

“I’m CRYING at Jokic falling to the floor there, what a flop,” another fan said.
