This Memorial Day weekend, 13 local acts from Boston and beyond will take the stage alongside global headliners.
New England’s largest music festival, Boston Calling, is once again rolling out the red carpet for some of the biggest names in music — including Luke Combs, Fall Out Boy, and Dave Matthews Band — while also turning up the volume on the region’s rich and diverse local music scene.
This Memorial Day weekend, 13 local acts from Boston and beyond will take the stage alongside global headliners, representing the pulse of New England’s musical heartbeat.
Here’s a closer look at the local acts bringing their sound to Boston Calling 2025.
Boston-born and now based in New York City, Bebe Stockwell is a singer-songwriter whose blend of folk, indie, and pop carries emotional depth and infectious energy. Her heartfelt lyrics make her a compelling rising voice in the Northeast indie scene.
Green Stage; 1:30-2 p.m.
A high-energy electropop trio from Boston, Battlemode is a collaboration between Astro, Biff, and Sam. Their unique sound fuses nostalgic 8-bit chiptune textures with synths and beats, offering a danceable homage to the pixelated days of Gameboys and glitchy arcade nights.

Describing their genre as “bummer pop,” Boston’s Future Teens tap into alternative, indie, and pop-punk. The group is made up of members Amy Hoffman (vocals, guitar), Daniel Radin (vocals, guitar), Maya Mortman (bass), and Colby Blauvelt (drums), who made their album debut in 2017.

Don’t let the name fool you — this Manchester, NH-based indie rock meets punk meets power-pop band is all play when it comes to delivering infectious melodies and emotionally resonant tunes.

One of Boston’s standout hip-hop artists, Latrell James brings sharp lyricism and smooth production to the stage. As both a rapper and producer, his thoughtful, relatable songwriting continues to resonate with fans across New England and beyond.

Hailing from Wareham, PINKLIDS is a whirlwind of garage rock and punk-psychedelia. If you’re into raw, genre-bending music, buckle up.

Experimental and art-punk to the core, Sidebody is a Somerville-based band made up of high school friends who blend performance art with music and zine culture. Their live sets are just as much about creative expression as they are about the music.
Orange Stage; 4:10-4:40 p.m.
A punk rock powerhouse with six Boston Music Award nominations – and named 2025 Boston Punk Artist Of The Year – Rebuilder is a pop-punk staple. Vocalists Sal Ellington and Craig Stanton, along with their bandmates, bring an old-school punk ethos with a modern twist to every show.

Only 25 years old, Simon Robert French went viral with “Robert’s Place,” a heartfelt ballad written in memory of their father. Their minimalist songwriting approach and raw emotional delivery connect deeply with listeners, making him one of the most quietly powerful acts of the weekend.

This Boston-based band brings Americana and alternative rock to Boston Calling, grounding their sound in bluesy riffs, acoustic textures, and rock melodies.
Orange Stage; 2:45-3:15 p.m.
Shoegaze fans, rejoice. Boston’s Vivid Bloom crafts dreamy soundscapes with hypnotic melodies, ethereal vocals, and “effects-drenched guitars.”
Orange Stage; 4:00-4:30 p.m.
Formed in 2018 by a group of Massachusetts and Vermont musicians who first met through local shows and college gigs, Copilot is a rock-pop band known for their upbeat anthems and electric live performances. Their chemistry is as real as it gets — born out of an impromptu house party set that kicked off their journey together.

Carissa Myre (aka Layzi) is a pioneer in Boston’s DIY music scene. Her dreamy bedroom-pop style have garnered millions of streams, especially after her breakout single “Nothing Ever Feels Right.” Layzi’s music is hazy, heartfelt, and defiantly self-made.
